The historic buildings of Agios Germanos are being revived in the designs of the students of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Historic buildings of Agios Germanos are being revived through the proposals of architecture students.

On September 14, an exhibition by 4th-semester students of the School of Architecture at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) on the restoration of the buildings of Agios Germanos was held at the Byzantine Collection Building of Agios Germanos. The exhibition took place as part of the course “Introduction to the Restoration of Historic Buildings,” which was attended by 180 students.

The students worked on their proposals for the restoration of the settlement’s buildings and presented them on 60 panels measuring 84.1 x 118.9 cm (DIN A0) and 30 folders measuring 29.7 x 42 cm (DIN A3). At the end of the exhibition, the students gave the owners of the studied buildings a CD (electronic file) of their project folder.
