The hermitage of Panagia Eleousa is located in a large cave on the southwestern bank of Great Prespa lake and is considered to be the most beautiful and best preserved of the all foung in the region. It dates back to 1410 on the basis of frescoes and an inscription of the church. Important frescoes cover the entire church, the most notable being that of Panagia (Virgin Mary) of Eleousa. Access to the hermitage is easy by boat from the village of Psarades.
