New year’s eve cake
Try the recipe of a fluffy and orange flavored cake for the traditional new year's eve cake!

ΜΕΡΙΔΕΣ 10-12
ΥΛΙΚΑ
2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 oranges (zest & juice)
2 vanilla pods
500 gr all-purpose flour
1 packet baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 shot cranberry liqueur (optional, or any liqueur of your choice)
ΕΚΤΕΛΕΣΗ
Beat the sugar, eggs, and oil in a mixer for ten minutes. Then add the milk and orange zest. Add the baking soda and vanilla to the orange juice, stir and pour into the mixture (the juice will foam up from the baking soda, so be careful not to spill it outside the mixer!). Add the liqueur. Finally, add the flour mixed with the baking powder. Beat until all the ingredients are well blended.
Transfer the mixture to a round baking pan that has been greased and floured or covered with parchment paper. Don’t forget the coin!
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 50 minutes.
Leave to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
