The Municipality of Prespes is organizing an informational meeting on the creation of an energy community and the opportunities for supporting local entrepreneurship through it.
Energy cost for businesses in Prespes is a crucial factor for their sustainability. The Municipality’s concern is to provide residents and entrepreneurs in the area support and information about the existing possibilities to meet their energy needs sustainably, as well as the related available resources. Energy communities, as an integral part of the Just Transition, are a valuable tool for local communities and, among other things, enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Western Macedonia.
In this context, the Municipality is organizing an informational meeting on the conditions for the establishment and operation of energy communities, as well as on the available national and European resources for this purpose. With the Just Development Transition Program (JDTP) 2021-2027 in the implementation phase, the practical steps for creating an energy community will be highlighted.
The meeting will take place in the Municipal Council Hall in Laimos, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 6 pm.
