Hatzara House – photorealistic illustration of a traditional house

The “Hatzara House” is located in the central area of the settlement of Agios Germanos in Prespa and the construction of the building dates back to the end of the 19th century. It is a typical example of the traditional architecture of Prespa, as it follows the widespread typology of the flat-fronted building with a ‘T’ shaped loggia. The video includes details of its architecture, its structure, as well as a representation of the building’s function during its initial phase.
The documentary was created through the research project “Analysis of the traditional architecture of Agios Germanos Prespes and its visualization with digital media” of the Department of Architecture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Society for the Protection of Prespa (SPP) in the framework of the Poliprespa project, which was implemented with a donation from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
