The Municipality of Prespa welcomes spring with the Narcissus Festival on Friday, 1st of May 2026, at 12pm, in the narcissus meadow in Oxyá village.
The festival will feature brass band music by the “Local Tradition” orchestra and dances by the children’s traditional dance group of the Parents and Guardians Association of the Agios Germanos Preschool and Elementary School. The buffet will include free bean soup and pies.
Eco Tourismo SCE is organizing a series of group games and activities for children, which, through fun, foster teamwork and cooperation.
The Narcissus Festival, organized in collaboration with the Parents and Guardians Association of the Agios Germanos – Elementary School of Agios Germanos, offers residents and visitors the opportunity to experience one of the most impressive spring landscapes in Greece and admire the fragrant narcissus blooming at this time of year.
Narcissus (Narcissus Poeticus ssp. Radiiflorus) is one of the native plant species protected in our country by Presidential Decree 61/1981, while the daffodil meadow in Oxia, Prespa, a remnant of the much more extensive areas of the past, is protected as a natural formation within Prespa National Park.
